FLOWFORGE TREADS

Redman Fishers range of steel stair treads.

Crafted with either a 35mm or 20mm ball-proof design, these treads include a nosing bar welded to the front edge and integral end plates that are drilled for secure attachment to stair stringers.

The nosing bar extends across the entire width of the leading edge, meticulously selected to align with project specifications, considering factors like slip resistance, visibility, and loading requirements.

Redman Fisher Flowforge Treads are meticulously engineered to adhere to BS4592-0:2006+A1:2012 standards.

THE FLOWFORGE TREADS RANGE

Various nosing options and sizes available to meet your needs.

Nosing plays a crucial role in stair treads, providing several important functions:

  • Bearing the load (loads are typically applied to the front edge/nosing of the tread)
  • Anti-slip surface on the front edge (Sight bar for clear identification of each stair tread)
  • Standard nosing options include (Liongrip, Durbar, or Hi-Visibility)

British Standard recommendations a minimum going of 250mm plus a 16mm overlap implies a minimum tread width of 266mm.

Across our entire range of treads, end plates and drilled hole positions are standardised. However, upon request, we can accommodate alternative drillings.

The end plate drilling comprises one fixed hole and one slotted hole, providing flexibility during installation.

GRATING SIZE

Selecting the appropriate stair tread should be determined by your specific ball-proofing needs, taking into account the location of the stairs and the amount of foot traffic passing underneath.

STAIR TREAD WIDTH

The width of the tread is established according to the pitch of the flooring and is produced in a variety of standard dimensions.

For your particular project requirements, custom widths can be created; nevertheless, opting for the next standard size up typically presents a cost-effective solution.

STAIR TREAD LENGTH

The length of the tread is determined by the space between the stringers and adheres to load distribution needs.

Redman Fisher provides a standard selection of lengths tailored to accommodate most applications.
